Seersucker Thursday in the U.S. Senate

Hate to say it, but I have actually come across something that Trent Lott did I actually find inspiring. Seersucker Thursdays. Senators all dress up in Seersucker suits. Its great. Apparently in the summertime in the days of yore this was standard sartorial practice.

Dutch Man Nesting on Building

Is this art? I don't really know. But there is a dutch guy in a giant nest on the side of a building in Rotterdam. There's a website that doesn't explain anything: http://nest-rotterdam.nl

Also there's a picture:

And a video:

Weird Czech People Singing

Check it out. What looks like a bizarre tv show from the 70's in Eastern Europe. This is a real winner. Make your watch slightly past the 2 minute mark to see the guy with the weirdest facial expression I've ever seen.

Frog Juice is Peruvian Viagra

Do you suffer from fatigue in bed? Are you just not interested in your partner? Have you tried Viagra and other similar drugs with no success? Well, don't give up! There's something out there that you probably haven't tried: Frog Juice! That's right, just take one frog from Peru, put it in a blender with some other stuff and then blend it until no frog parts are recognizable. Then drink it. Yum! Than you will have the energy of a Peruvian llama tamer or this guy that sort of looks like Elliot Gould.

Seriously though, blended up frog beverage is considered to be both a restorative drink -- good for healing asthma and bronchitis as well as an aphrodisiac by the Peruvian people. It might also be significant to point out that one of the other ingredients in the amphibious elixir is Maca -- a plant known for its erotic powers. At any rate, you can really go to Peru and get a drink made of frog. They even let you pick your own frog.

Twins Parted at Birth Got Married...then Divorced

A set of twins that were adopted by different parents, winded up meeting each other later in life and then getting married, only finding out after the wedding that they were actually brother and sister. They then, understandably, got the marriage annulled. And probably used like a whole bottle of mouthwash.

According to the BBC:

...their story raises the wider issue of the importance of strengthening the rights of children to know the identities of their biological parents.

"If you start trying to conceal someone's identity, sooner or later the truth will out," [Lord Alton, some legal British dude] said.

Incidentally, Moulder said the same thing about the X-Files.

Nip/Tuck is thinking post strike...

Excerpts from a very interesting Craigslist post:

We are anticipating (once the writer's strike is over) a need for real life amputees, especially leg amputees. While we favor Los Angeles locals, depending upon the nature of the scene we will consider out of state residents and fly them in and reimburse hotel accommodations.

For example, we are currently looking for a Caucasian female double leg amputee, preferably BK (below the knee) who is willing to work in the nude with actor Julian McMahon.

It looks like some young women's unfortunate accident was really her ticket to stardom!
